ResQtag

The ResQtag is a device that fits on the rider or pillion jacket and pants zipper pulls and contains information that is vital to emergency personnel in the event you are in an accident and unable to speak for yourself.

The medical information is of utmost importance to First Responders and Emergency Medical Service professionals treating you at the scene of an accident.

A Paramedics Perspective:
The creator of ResQtag was a Paramedic for the largest EMS Service in Western North Carolina and has  worked more than my share of accidents involving motorcycles.  Here are some problems working these types of accidents:

Rider and bike are never near each other after a bad accident occurs.  If you have your emergency information stored on your bike Paramedics are not going to find it.  Why?  Because most times they aren't going to look.  They don't waste precious time looking for something that may or may not be there.  They are going to be treating you - the rider.

Emergency information is stored on your person in a pocket.  I’m not going to find that either.  Most riding gear has about 12 to 14 pockets counting jacket and pants.  Again, they are wasting time looking for something that may not be there.  That time is better spent treating you.

If Paramedics roll up to the accident scene and see a sticker on your helmet and a ResQtag on your zipper I can’t help but find your emergency information.  At some point early in the treatment they are going to want your jacket off.  Imagine my surprise when I find everything I need to base my treatment on in a nice neat convenient location.  This will solve a lot of my problems and help them help you with faster and, in some cases, more appropriate treatment.

Please help others help you.  Ride with a ResQtag.  It could mean the difference between life or death. Yes - it’s THAT important.

The ResQtag measures 1" by 2" when folded.  When unfolded it is 4" by 4" and contains the information most needed by First Responders at the scene.  For best results fill in the ResQtag with a permanent marker with an extra fine point.
