Normally I screw up and forget all about the run but this year I made it a point to put it on my calendar. It was going to be a beautiful day for a ride so I set out at about 7:30am and passed the first crowd at a gas station in Johnson Creek. Not far ahead at Hwy Q I saw the first bike pulled over by Johny Law.

After a little while I hooked up with one of the groups and rode into where we were having breakfast.

We had a great breakfast and did a little hardware tour before it was time to head off to the next stop which was going to be Pine Bluff.

Someone must have leaked information about our arrival because a crowd had gathered to welcome us

There were all kinds of bikes at Pine Bluff. Saw some new and old chrome

Some classics

And even saw a ADV style segway scooter. This was cool because it was attached to the back of the bike and could be easily removed to terrorize the neighborhood.

From there we headed over to Leland. Traditionally this was the end of the ride but now people pop back and forth between the two locations.

Here I got to see both ends of the Triumph spectrum. One was a Trident just like we used to have in our garage and one was a newer 955 that a guy had added a turbo kit to. He's still dialing it in and is having a slight problem with the clutch slipping.. Gee, I wonder why .

Got to see first hand that Harley Davidson really IS at the cutting edge of technology with their bikes.

Followed up with quite a few bikes that had some interesting personal touches added to them.

From there I just headed home leasurely via backroads. Only had to exchange words with one squid at a stop sign. The asshat and his buddies thought it would be fun to use myself and the bikes in front of me as an obstacle course and weave in and out of us as they passed us..

I'm glad I finally took the time to do this ride and I know that I'll be back for the fall one.
