This ball can connect to the open hole on the side of the RAM-B-309-1 (single 1" ball) and is included with the purchase of the RAM-B-309-2 (double 1" ball).

You can also replace the tapered screw with a similar thread bolt and washer to secure it in areas where countersinking is not possible like thin sheetmetal or plastic.
